State President Gustavs Zemgals – 150

The exhibition is created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of statesman and public figure Gustavs Zemgals (1871–1939), and to highlight his contributions to the formation of Latvian public life in Riga in the early 20th century, the creation of Latvian statehood, and the establishment of the independent Republic of Latvia.

The exhibition highlights the various fields of Gustavs Zemgals’ activity throughout his bustling life. Also shown are Zemgals’ role in the complex political processes of 1917–1918 and the strengthening of the independent state in 1919–1920 as well as his political activity in the Saeima as Minister of Defence and Minister of Finance. Dozens of photographs describe Zemgals’ domestic and foreign political activities during his presidency in 1927–1930.

The exhibition consists of 12 stands.
The exhibition is intended to be displayed outdoors.

Transport

The exhibition commissioning body provides transport for the exhibition and museum specialist to/from the exhibition site.

The exhibition can be transported in a van.

Reservation

At least 1 week before the exhibition data with a signed contract and sent invoice.
For special dates (national holidays in November and May, barricade days in January), exhibitions are booked approximately half a year in advance.

Price – 10 EUR/day.
Minimum  – 3 days.
The exhibition is set up by museum specialists.
